Our Favorite (budget friendly) Trader Joe's Essentials

If you’ve been following me on my journey, you now know I’ve officially migrated to Sunny LA! California boasts more than just sunny weather and scenic coastlines, it’s also the founder of buzzworthy and drool inducing Trader Joe's. Saying TJ is popular with locals would be the same as saying New York winters are chilly. Delicious and affordable products, both classic and unique, line every isle. In honor of my move I’ve compiled a list of my favorite TJ budget friendly buys. Say that ten times fast!

  • 1. Trader Joe's Organic
  • Pasteurized Unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar

Every so often (especially this time of year)when I feel like I'm coming down with something I try to take a shot of apple cider vinegar… yes I plug my nose when I gulp it down. Apple cider vinegar is one of those products that you can use for everything. We use it very often in dressing, sauces and marinades in out meal preps but it's also beneficial for your health, skin, even soothing sunburns (!) the list goes on and on.

This organic bottled vinegar has now officially become a kitchen staple.

    2. Extra Virgin California Estate Olive Oil

This prime, all-purpose oil can be used for; bread, dips, pasta, seafood, salad dressings, grilled or roasted vegetables, poultry... Since the flavor blends so well, it goes with most dishes without overpowering it- definitely making it a trustworthy and consistent staple.

    3. Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has skyrocketed to cult status over the last few years earning a coveted place in our hearts... and our cabinets. In one of Trader Joe’s best selling items you will find organic cold pressed and filtered dried coconut meat. Not only providing the incredible benefits and versatility of any run of the mill coconut oil but the nutrients, flavors and aromas of fresh coconuts. Allowing you to feel refreshed every time you twist the lid open. We use it to fry pancakes most days of the week, slathered on cinnamon raisin toast, and in even as a hair mask to replenish dry post-summer fried strands!

    4. Sprouted Whole Grain Pizza Crusts

With a whopping 23 grams of whole grains and at only $3.99 for TWO  you should be buying this crust weekly like we do! Repurpose yesterdays dinner by throwing it on a pizza dough. It never fails!
