All things TOAST

There is that time of the day that breakfast fits into one’s schedule (or doesn’t fit, so it gets shoved in). I’ve heard all kinds of stories. Breakfast at 6 am with the toddler, or at 9 when the kids are finally in school. Toast at 11 when everything slows for a minute, or at 12 or beyond because that’s just when it works.

No matter the time, this little crash course on all things toast will be great inspiration for the time that you “break- fast.”

This super versatile option may bring out your inner artist.  No matter what you do to toast, they come out exponentially more deluxe looking than the effort that goes into making it. Let’s dive in.

What?

This isn’t a new concept by any means, but the ways of making your personal toast are so endless, you can invent or try a new recipe every day. It doesn’t get old.

Load up a slice or two of toasted bread with veggies, cheese, garnish, (or even fruit if you are going for a sweet toast) and savor every bite. Serious inspo and recipes in the “how” section.

When?

The morning is when you have the most energy and highest metabolism so if you’re looking to enjoy bread but trying to keep off the pounds, breakfast or brunch is your time. Beyond that, toasts are fit for any hour. Lunch, snack or even dinner you name it.

Where?

Your kitchen, or a friend’s. Any cafe will likely have you covered, probably a coffee shop as well. Or find your latest spot at an all-toast cafe. Those exist and for a very good reason too.

How?

Toast a piece of bread and decide if you want to go savory or sweet.

Sweet toasts can handle nut butters with fruit and a sweet drizzle. Nutella and fruit is another good combo! Delicious savory toasts can have a mix of cheeses and vegetables. There is no end to the creativity here.  The more flavor, the better! More colors = more picturesque, and seeds and arugula make great garnishes.
